Scholarships
Co-curricular scholarships provide financial assistance of $200–$500 to Scholars and citation earners to support active learning, such as research projects, for-credit internships, service-learning or global learning experiences. The application process takes place twice per academic year, around October and April.
This scholarship provides awards to Scholars students who are seeking to expand their Scholars experience by participating in research, community service, internships or study abroad. Applicants will be expected to demonstrate that these activities are tied to a well-defined scholarly or creative project. The application process normally opens in the spring semester.
Honoring the legacy and promise of Scholars Public Leadership alumna Meghan Price, this scholarship provides at least $1,000 for junior or senior students dedicated to leadership and service. The application process normally opens in the spring semester.
Awards
This Founders Circle Award honors a recent Scholars citation earner who has demonstrated excellence in academic writing as part of the Scholars curriculum, including colloquia, supporting courses, practica and capstones. The application process normally opens in late summer/early fall.
This Founders Circle Award honors a recent female Scholars citation earner who was an effective leader among Scholars during her freshman and sophomore years. The application process normally opens in late summer/early fall.
This Founders Circle Award honors a recent Scholars citation earner who exhibited exceptional creativity that made a positive impact in College Park Scholars or the surrounding community during their freshman or sophomore year. The application process normally opens in late summer/early fall.
This Founders Circle Award honors a recent Scholars citation earner with interests in international and global affairs, who demonstrates learning as a result of having studied abroad. The application process normally opens in late summer/early fall.
This Founders Circle Award honors a recent Scholars citation earner who has demonstrated excellence through a research project related to his or her Scholars program. The application process normally opens in late summer/early fall.
